Genesis 3

The sermon explores the fall of mankind through the lens of spiritual warfare, revealing how the enemy's tactics haven't changed since the Garden of Eden. Just like some people have become victims of con artists who appeared trustworthy, Adam and Eve fell victim to the original con—Satan's deceptive questioning of God's Word. We examined how sin entered creation through a three-pronged attack (the desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, and the pride of life), and how God immediately responded with both judgment and the first gospel promise. This catastrophic moment rippled through all creation, introducing pain, toil, and death into human experience. Yet even in pronouncing consequences, God demonstrated His love by preventing mankind from living eternally in a fallen state and by providing the first sacrifice to cover Adam and Eve—pointing forward to the ultimate sacrifice of Christ.
